There are many trails to explore near the cabin. Minnewaska State Park Reserve has amazing variety of trails, my favorites in Sam’s point are Verkeerderkill Falls Trailhead, Indian head and the caves, but there many more, Neversink trails ending in the river are, Shawangunk Ridge Trail, Vernooy Falls and much more.
Come to explore the Catskills during any season, each season has their own beauty!
Hike and Swim
Minnewaska State Park Preserve:
Hiking - Swimming (30 minutes from the Cabin)
This is my favorite place! Minneswaska offers numerous hiking trails, waterfalls, lakes, and breathtaking views. If you're staying in our cabin, it's a must-visit. Parking costs $10 per car. Feel free to ask us for recommendations on hiking spots in Minnewaska.
During the summer, the lake beach is a popular destination. While it can get crowded, visiting during the week allows for a peaceful end to a day of hiking, with the opportunity to soak in the lake.
Sam’s Point :
Hiking (30 minutes from the Cabin)
This is also one of my favorite place to hike. Indian rock hike, High Point hike and Verkeerderkill falls has amazing views. There are many more but you can not miss the ice cave trail which open during late Spring.
The parking lot in Sam’s point is not as big as Minnewasa and during the summer and foliage season there is not enough place to park. Please check the website because sometime you have to reserve before going.
Neversink:
Hiking (15 minutes from the Cabin)
What I like about hiking in the Neversink trails if that after the hike you can head to the Nerversink river, refresh yourself and take a nap over the rocks.
The walk to the river is short, but there are many hikes like the Mullet Falls trail, the Gorge Mull Trail and more.
Mountaindale Park
Swimming - Paddle board (5 minutes from the Cabin by car) Perfect for swimming, kayaking, paddle boarding or just realx reading a book with this amazing view
And More
There are beautiful swimming holes in the area.
